Welcome to the First Annual Hilton Head Island Seafood, Jazz & Brew Homebrew Competition

The Competition is sponsored by the Hilton Head Island Hospitality Association and is an AHA Sanctioned Competition run in accordance with AHA/BJCP 2008 guidelines.

Entry fee is $5.00 per entry, with the proceeds to benefit Operation R&R and Hilton Head Heroes. Entrants must be over 21 years of age. Judges and stewards can pre-register their entries and bring them the day of the competition. Pre-registration payment must be received prior to Sept 8, 2008. Judges and Stewards please complete the Judge/Steward form to participate. Judging will take place at the Seafood Jazz & Brews Festival, Shelter Cove Harbour on September 13, 2008 beginning at 9AM.

Best of Show winner will receive a paid 3 day/2 night weekend at a HIlton Head Island Resort and over $100 in food / attraction vouchers. First Place winners will receive 2 free tickets to next years Seafood, Jazz, & Brews Festival. Second Place winners will receive 1 free ticket.

RULES

• Sanctioned by the American Homebrewers Association/BJCP.
• Open to ALL homebrewers.
• The beers must not be brewed in any commercial establishment.
• Entries MUST be bottled in l0-l4oz crown cap bottles without labels (Sam Adams bottles are ok). "Grolsch" type bottles are not allowed. Caps must be blacked out.
• All entries must be accompanied with an Entry form. Each bottle must have a bottle ID form attached with a rubber band.
• Be sure to include the category and subcategory as defined by the BJCP Style Guidelines. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PROPERLY CATEGORIZING YOUR ENTRY!
• Entrants must submit 2 bottles for each entry.
• The registration fee is $5.00 per entry. Please make checks payable to Operation R&R or Hilton Head Heroes.
